Over 50's Exercise Coach

Build

Build and maintain positive relationships with participant's and encourage light exercise in partnership with Age UK.

Enable

Enable social connections to be made within the group.

Provide

Provide a non-judgemental atmosphere, cultivating belonging and encouraging health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead exercise classes tailored to individuals over 50.

  • Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and safety.

  • Encourage and motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals.

  • Monitor and adjust exercises to accommodate varying fitness levels and health conditions.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Strong communication and motivational skills.

  • Ability to adapt exercises for different ability levels

Supervision & Support

This Volunteer role is based at The Hub @ the Club, Hasland & requires training to be undertaken before delivering a class. Each Volunteer will receive ongoing informal support and supervision from relevant Lead.

In addition, we will evaluate the project together as a team at regular intervals. This will also act as a forum for volunteers to raise any concerns.
